What is a Ceramic Coating?
A ceramic coating is a chemical polymer that is applied to the exterior of a vehicle to protect it from external paint damage. It is applied by hand to blend with the paint of your car an additional hydrophobic layer of protection.
Ceramic vs Wax
Ceramics coatings provide much higher durability than wax. Ceramic coatings resists heat, UV rays, environmental contaminants and harsh detergents much better than wax. Wax lays on the surface of paint whereas ceramic coating will bond to the paint’s surface.
Will ceramic coating stop rock chips or scratches?
No. Ceramic coating alone will not stop or prevent rock chips or scratches.
How long will a ceramic coating last?
The life of ceramic coating will depend on how well the vehicle is taken care of. With proper maintenance, most ceramic coatings last for two to five years.
